Open Enrollment occurs every Tuesday at 9 AM and Wednesday at 1 PM. This orientation gives you more information about our services and programs. Below are some rules for open enrollment:

  • Be prepared to stay 2 to 3 hours
  • Bring photo ID, social security card & pen
  • No Children allowed during orientation
  • Please silence all electrical devices
  • Be mindful of the dress policy (listed below)

  • PERSONAL APPEARANCE AND DRESS POLICY

    The Metropolitan Education and Training Center programs are committed to preparing its students for all facets of the professional work environment. Since an important aspect of workplace requirements is appearance and safety, The MET Center has instituted standards to ready students for this necessity. All students enrolled in MET Center programs are required to maintain the following standards of general appearance:

    MEN

  • Shirt - Collared Shirt
  • Pants - Business casual dress slacks are preferred in business-like colors, waist band of jeans should fit at the waist; NO Sagging
  • Shoes - Business casual shoes are preferred

  • DO NOT wear any of the following:

  • Hats or do-rags inside of the building
  • Tank tops, sweat pants, sweat suits, warm-up pants, warm-up suits
  • Sandals or shoes with open toes

  • WOMEN

  • Shirt/ Blouse - Shirt or blouse without logos
  • Skirts - Skirts must not be excessively short (any more than 3" above the knee)
  • Pants - Business casual dress slacks are preferred
  • Dresses - Dresses must not be excessively short (any more than 3")
  • Shoes - Business casual shoes are preferred

  • DO NOT wear any of the following:

  • Hats or do-rags inside of the building
  • Halter tops or tank tops
  • Sweat pants, sweat suits, warm-up pants, warm-up suits
  • Sandals or shoes with open toes


  • Violations to The Metropolitan Education and Training Center dress code will be subject to disciplinary action. Instructors may dismiss a trainee from class for violating dress code. The trainee may return to class once the appropriate dress code is achieved however, the trainee will be docked for the time missed. First violation will result in a verbal or written warning. Second violation will be the student being
